1.1 - When you sign up with one of the Rootz Ltd. brands, you can access all of our sites, wildz.de, spinz.de and wheelzgames.de, using the same account. In addition, you will enter into a contract with Rootz Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Rootz”, “we”, or “us”), a company licensed under German law with a registered office at Ewropa Business Centre, Level 3-701, Dun Karm Street, Malta and company registration number C83903.
Rootz Ltd. is licensed and regulated by the Joint Gambling Authority of the Federal States (GGL) under Ref. 208.1.1-02254-Rootz Ltd. This licence was issued on 15 September 2022. The Company is listed on the White List, which is available here.
The GGL has also approved all virtual slot games Rootz offers on its websites.
1.2 - If you play games on Rootz, which Rootz operates under the licence granted by the GGL and which have been approved by the GGL for Rootz as set out in 1.1, these current terms (“Terms and Conditions” or “Terms”) govern your relationship with the Website. You must read and understand these Terms in full before accepting them. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use or continue to use the Website.
1.3 - These general terms and conditions apply exclusively to the use of the games licensed by the GGL by the player on the websites listed under point 1.1 (the website), the related enabling internet, mobile or other platforms through the website, and other associated Uniform Resource Locators (“URL”).
1.4 - The current version of this Agreement is effective until a new version is posted on the Website.
1.5 - Rootz holds the player funds in trust in a separate bank account, separate from the company’s funds, free of seizure and offsetting, which has been opened specifically for the safekeeping and administration of the player funds. According to Section 6b Paragraph 6 GlüStV 2021, withdrawals from this account may only be made to players or to settle claims by Rootz against players. Until the players use player credits to participate in the game, the player credits remain the property of the game participants. Therefore, in the event of insolvency, they do not fall into Rootz’s estate but rather represent privileged funds to be paid out preferentially by the insolvency administrator. See also section 7.12 below on this point.
1.6 - You understand the terms and conditions in this text and agree that they may be amended occasionally unless material changes are made. Should material changes be made to these Terms and Conditions, you will be prompted upon your next login to review and accept the changes to these Terms and Conditions.
1.7 - These Terms and Conditions may be published in multiple languages and reflect the same principles. This is for informational purposes and to support players. However, only the German version is the legal basis of your relationship with Rootz. In case of a discrepancy between the German and non-German versions of these General Terms and Conditions, the German version is legally binding and takes precedence.

4.17 - A registrant accepts and acknowledges that Rootz is not a financial institution and that it is Rootz Ltd. It is, therefore, not permitted to pay interest on deposits in the player account.
4.18 - Using a VPN to connect to Rootz is considered an attempt to bypass regional access and is strictly prohibited. Rootz reserves the right to terminate any account found to be using a VPN to connect to the site.
5.1 - To place bets and deposit money, you must first register personally with us and open an Account.
5.2 - You may only hold one account with us at any one time. If we have reasonable grounds to believe that fraud has been committed or attempted, we reserve the right to cancel any related transaction, bonus or promotion without prejudice to any other action. In these Terms and Conditions, a reference to “cheating” includes “bonus abuse”. Bonus abuse includes but is not limited to attempting to open more than one account to receive an additional bonus or benefit. We are obliged to report relevant facts to the authorities:
When describing such facts, it may be necessary to disclose the player identities of the people involved to the authorities.
5.3 - Only one account is allowed per household, IP address, and computing device. Suppose two or more users share the same household, IP address and computing device. In that case, Rootz must be notified by their respective Account holder.
5.4 - The application to open a member account is made by filling out the registration form and submitting it to Rootz. Rootz reserves the right to refuse to open a member account for any reason. Rootz Limited employees are not permitted to open a player account on any website operated by the company.
5.5 - You must provide all mandatory information requested in the registration form, in particular your full name (including first, last and maiden name), date of birth, place of birth, nationality, address and contact details, including a valid e- email address, a valid mobile phone number and your place of residence. You are responsible for ensuring your information is true, complete and correct. Please note that you must be at least 18 years old to play the games offered on the website.
As part of the registration, we ask you to specify an additional authentication method.
5.6 - After sending the registration form, Rootz checks in parallel with the double check (i.e. checking whether there is a multiple account) whether the player is a politically exposed person (“PEP”) and whether they are registered on a financial sanctions list (“FSL”).
(a) In the event of a PEP hit, the information of the person registering but preliminarily identified as a PEP will be escalated to the Rootz Board of Directors. Based on additional documents to be submitted, this first checks whether the newly registered person is a PEP or whether a false-positive hit occurred. In the latter case, Rootz will readily release the player account for identity verification. If the newly registered person is a PEP, the management, in consultation with the money laundering reporting officer, decides whether or not to enter into a business relationship with the PEP.
(b) Entering into a business relationship with persons registered on a financial sanctions list is prohibited by law. Therefore, Rootz will terminate the registration process if the person registering is recorded on such an FSL. Furthermore, the business relationship with customers who come to our attention for the first time during the regular FSL inspections will be terminated immediately, i.e., the account remains or is blocked for transactions and game participation.
(c) If the double check was unsuccessful, i.e., it did not result in multiple account registrations. The PEP and FSL comparison also ended with a negative result, i.e. the game participant does not have a PEP and is not registered in an FSL; an OASIS comparison is then carried out. This means that Rootz sends a request to OASIS as to whether a player ban has been entered for the person in question. OASIS is the central player blocking file for the whole of Germany, which is maintained by the Darmstadt regional council on behalf of Hesse and the latter federal state on behalf of and for all federal states.
Suppose a 24-hour ban has been entered for the person in question because they pressed the panic button at another gambling provider. In that case, the further checking process can only be continued after the 24-hour ban has expired. Until then, Rootz will interrupt further verification and inform the registered game participant accordingly.
Suppose a permanent player ban is entered for the person in question (at least three months). In that case, the player account remains blocked from transactions and game participation, and the registration process will be cancelled. Rootz informs the game participant accordingly.
(d) An OASIS comparison also takes place after registration with every login. If an OASIS comparison after either the preliminary or complete verification and activation of the player account as either provisional or fully verified at a later login produces the result that a player ban exists, Rootz will refuse the login in the event of a 24-hour ban and block the player In the event of a long-term player ban (at least three months) your player account and in this case will only unlock it again once you have proven to us that the player ban has been lifted.
(e) We conduct an OASIS comparison for all recipients before any scheduled marketing communication, and those with a ban will not receive such communications. Providers of games of chance in which blocked players are not allowed to participate, such as virtual slot games, are also not allowed to send direct marketing messages to blocked players. In addition, we will only send you direct marketing messages if you have previously consented to this and have yet to withdraw your consent. This consent must also include OASIS matching for direct marketing purposes. Suppose the OASIS requests undertaken prior to the sending-out of scheduled marketing communication result in the exclusion of one (or more) of the players on the marketing list. In that case, such players’ consent will be deemed withdrawn.
f) We hereby expressly point out to you that
we must carry out a verification process. Registration will be refused, or your account access will be blocked or closed if we cannot verify your information or if we suspect that you have provided us with false or misleading information.
Rootz may offer you a temporary gaming account upon registration and until your gaming account is fully verified. With such an account, you can make deposits up to a maximum of €100 within 72 hours of registration and take part in our offer. Paying out your balance before your identity is fully verified is impossible. Suppose verification is not completed within the required 72 hours. In that case, we must suspend your temporary gaming account until verification is completed.
5.7 - Rootz reserves the right, at any time and for any reason, to conduct background checks on a player and to request relevant documents such as a copy of your passport or other identification documents as part of Rootz Know Your Customer (“KYC”) procedures, including (but not limited to) researching the player’s identity, checking the player’s creditworthiness, or researching the player’s personal history. The basis for such inquiries will vary by case. Still, it may include (but is not limited to) the player’s name, address and age, occupation, verification of the player’s financial transactions, financial standing, source of wealth, source of funds or gaming activity. Rootz also has the right to request previously submitted documentation that has later expired or is no longer valid or for any reason and at any time to request additional KYC documentation if deemed necessary. Rootz is not obligated to inform the player that such an investigation is being conducted. Such activities may involve using specific third-party companies to perform the required analyses. Rootz may, in its sole discretion, close a player’s account and temporarily freeze all funds in that account if such an investigation leads to an adverse or uncertain outcome. If, upon completion of Rootz’s verifications, you are found to be underage (due to some sort of circumvention of the verification process) or registered using false information:
5.8 - You must inform Rootz of any updates and keep the mandatory information provided in the registration form up to date if this information changes. If you change your data in your player account, Rootz is obliged to carry out another identity verification. Please note that in addition to checking during the registration process and in the event of data changes, Rootz must recheck your details within 12 months from the last check. The identity verification must be repeated after one year at the latest. After 12 months since the previous identity verification, game participation or deposits are only possible with renewed identity verification. For further identity verification, you can use the original online identity verification tools offered when you register for the first time. The deposit and game participation options are reactivated only after the successfully renewed identity verification. However, withdrawals are possible at all times. Instead of carrying out another identity verification, you can have your entire remaining balance paid out and close your player account.
5.9 - As part of the registration process, you must choose your username and password to log in to the website. It is your sole and exclusive responsibility to keep your login details secure. You shall not pass on your login data to third parties. Rootz shall not be liable for any misuse of your Member Account by any third party as a result of your intentionally or accidentally, actively or passively, providing your login details to any third party. Should Rootz discover or suspect that someone other than you is using the Player Account, Rootz will suspend or close the account and freeze all funds.
5.10 - Rootz may refuse to open an Account or close an existing Account at its sole discretion and for any reason. However, all contractual obligations already made will be honoured.
5.11 - An inactive account is an account that has not been accessed for 12 months and has a Real Money balance. Rootz will contact you via email 30 days before your account becomes inactive to inform you of the potential administration fees below. Suppose Rootz cannot contact you after 12 months since the last login, or there is no activity on the player account even after contacting you. In that case, Rootz reserves the right to charge a monthly administration fee of 5 EUR until your Real Money balance reaches zero. If you sign up after Rootz has started charging your account with the administration fee, we will stop charging your account with the administration fee. The period of inactivity will begin again from your last login date.
5.12 - You understand and agree that Rootz strictly prohibits cheating and collusion between players. Suppose we have reasonable grounds to suspect that fraud or collusion has occurred. In that case, we reserve the right to cancel any participation in a game that we suspect results from such behaviour or to temporarily freeze all funds in your account and block your account for investigation. In addition, any player with reasonable suspicion that another player is gaining an unfair advantage through cheating or collusion must report such suspicion to Rootz by emailing [email protected].
5.13 - Rootz does not allow robotic, automated, mechanical, electronic or other devices to make automated decisions in any game or respect of any bet on its sites, whether such use is attempted or effected by you or any third parties. Should we have reasonable suspicion that any such device is being used on the sites, we reserve the right to void any bet that we suspect has been made using such a device and exclude any player from any promotion or competition in which we suspect such a device has been used. You are also prohibited from utilising an external resource designed to provide a player with an unfair advantage over other players. Such prohibited external resources may include, but are not limited to, third-party software applications and databases as well as Websites, web-based databases, subscription services and the assistance of any other person regardless of whether or not that person is also the holder of a Rootz Account. We may also suspend the Account pending investigation into the matter and terminate the Account at our sole discretion. Rootz considers the use of such devices to be tantamount to fraud and reserves its right not to refund any balance on the Account at the time of termination and to cancel any pending Games.
5.14 - All transactions are checked by our fraud personnel in accordance with the prevention of anti-money laundering laws and regulations as applicable.
5.15 - Any suspicious activity on your account may result in you being reported to the relevant authorities and your funds being frozen. It could also result in your account being closed and your funds confiscated by government institutions. Please note that you may not be informed of such ongoing investigations due to the prohibition on “tipping off” in accordance with anti-money laundering regulations.
5.16 - If you wish to close your account, you can contact customer service at [email protected]. Any remaining funds in the Rootz account will be returned to you immediately. The effective closure of the Account corresponds to the termination of the Terms and Conditions, respecting any commitments already made.
5.17 - If the reason for closing the account concerns possible gambling addiction, we kindly ask you to state this. A player who closes an account due to gambling addiction may not re-open or attempt to re-open their Rootz account. Rootz reserves the right to terminate an account opened in violation of this rule at any time.
5.18 - All communications between the account holder and Rootz will be recorded for compliance, accounting and financial compliance purposes. In the event of closure of a player account, the associated information about the account will be retained for five (5) to ten (10) years from the time of closure, depending on the activity on the account. Related information means all information collected as part of KYC procedures, including data collected during registration, account transaction details and communications with you.
5.19 - Rootz has the right to appoint payment solution providers to act, receive and / or pay out funds on its behalf.
5.20 - When the outcome of a game you participate in is determined, all winnings will be available in your member account. Rootz allows you to set an individual amount for the automatic payout of winnings. Winnings exceeding the specified amount will then be automatically deducted from your player account and paid out. For more information, please see your player account settings.
5.21 - Rootz carries out additional verification procedures depending on the individual case. Still, in any case, for every payout that exceeds the equivalent of EUR 2,000, it reserves the right to carry out such verification procedures, even for smaller payouts. In addition, with each withdrawal, Rootz will check whether the payment account you would like to use for the withdrawal corresponds to the account used for the deposits. If this is not the case, Rootz is obliged under money laundering law to carry out additional checks on the reason for using different payment accounts for deposits and withdrawals. If necessary, Rootz may only use a different payment account for the withdrawal than was used for the deposit if you can give us a legitimate reason.
5.22 - If Rootz or a third-party service provider mistakenly credits your account with winnings that do not belong to you, whether due to technical or human error or any other reason, the amount credited in error remains the property of Rootz. We remit such an amount from your account back to Rootz. We reserve the right to void any transaction with the amount credited in error, including any associated winnings. In addition, to honour any such claim, we reserve the right to freeze and withhold such funds and offset any subsequent winnings owed to you. If, before Rootz becomes aware of the error, you have withdrawn funds that do not belong to you, the amount withdrawn in error constitutes a debt owed by you to Rootz without prejudice to any other remedies and actions available to us. In the event of an incorrect crediting, you must notify our customer service immediately by email.
6.1 - You may only participate in a Game if you have sufficient funds in your Member Account for such participation. When you register an account, we require you to make a minimum deposit before you can play.
6.2 - Rootz will not credit you for playing a game. Rootz is not a financial institution and should not be treated as such. The amounts deposited in your player account do not earn any interest. Please note that your personal player account is not a payment account within the meaning of Payment Services Directive II (EU) 2015/2366 (implemented in Germany by the Payment Services Supervision Act (ZAG)), but merely a virtual, internal, mercantilist clearing account that records debit and credit amounts (inflows of funds and drains). The purpose of this account is to make your transactions transparent and traceable and to document them as verifiable. We manage the money you deposit and arrange the necessary transactions for you to be able to use the services offered on the website.
6.3 - By depositing funds into your account, you ask us, and we agree to hold such funds together with any winnings for the sole purpose of (i) placing game wagers and (ii) paying any fees or costs that you may incur in connection with the use of our Services.
6.4 - All information required to deposit funds into your member account can be found on the “My Account” and “Deposit” pages of the Website. You may use any of the methods available to you as specified on these pages, which may change occasionally.
6.5 - When using a credit or debit card to deposit funds, your funds will be released when Rootz has received an irrevocable approval and authorisation code. Should Rootz receive such authorisation and code, Your Account will not be credited with such funds.
6.6 - Rootz follows the so-called “closed loop” rule. In principle, all withdrawals must be made using the same payment method for the deposit (see section 5.21 above). Rootz will verify each payment method upon first deposit/withdrawal to ensure that the account holder is the same as the payment account holder (the payment service provider or we carry out this process in advance). Rootz reserves the right to use additional procedures and means to verify the identity of the Payment Account Holder with the Member Account Holder when deposits are made into your Member Account.
6.7 - Deposits to the Member’s Account must always be made through a financial institution or payment service provider using one of the methods specified on the Website, which may be changed occasionally. Procedures, conditions, availability and duration of deposits may vary depending on time, country and financial institution. In any case, the names of the payment account holders must always match the names of the member account holders.
6.8 - Funds deposited will generally be credited to the Member’s account within one minute of confirmation of the deposit unless additional verification procedures are required, as described in clause 6.6. If, for any reason, a deposit is not reflected in your account, please contact customer service at [email protected].
6.9 - You may only use debit or credit cards and other valid financial instruments that legally belong to you.
6.10 - It is unlawful to deposit money from ill-gotten means. Per our anti-fraud policy, we reserve the right to pay out all or part of a requested withdrawal using the same verified payment method to make one or more deposits. We further reserve the right to pay any requested withdrawal directly to your bank account.
6.11 - Rootz only accepts payments in Euros (EUR). Please note that any exchange premiums are the responsibility of the player.
6.12 - Deposits into your Rootz account should correspond to gaming and betting behaviour. If, at Rootz’s discretion, abuse is suspected (e.g. if a deposited amount has not been wagered or used for an appropriate gaming activity and the user then requests a withdrawal in respect of that deposited amount), we reserve the right, at our absolute discretion If necessary, to cancel (minimal) game participations that were made to simulate legality, to refund stakes paid for them, to deduct or withdraw all winnings thus achieved from the balance on the user account, to temporarily freeze balances, including winnings, for investigation purposes, and to send them, if necessary to pay out the public prosecutor’s office if the latter order a seizure and to close the Rootz account indefinitely without warning or notification. We also reserve the right to request and obtain satisfactory proof of deposit and additional copies of personal identification and other documents, in particular regarding the source of funds, as may be required at any time during the term of the account and in such cases before processing withdrawal requests may be, with the processing of such requests being entirely at the discretion of Rootz. In cases where the submitted documentation is unsatisfactory, Rootz may cancel the withdrawal and transfer the funds back to the account or freeze the funds and suspend the account indefinitely.
6.13 - You agree that funds deposited into your account may only be used to play the games on the website. We have the right to suspend or close Your Account if we reasonably suspect or have reason to believe you are depositing money without intending to place any wagers. In such circumstances, we may also report this to the relevant authorities.
6.14 - You acknowledge that we shall have the right to block a Rootz Account should we receive a chargeback request concerning that Account. When a chargeback request has been received, we will contact you, as the registered Account holder, to seek confirmation of your identity. Please confirm your preferred payment method if necessary. Reminders may be sent if the requested confirmation still needs to be received. Administrative fees may apply in such cases, and the balance of your Rootz Account may decrease in the case of unduly incurred chargebacks, reversals or other charges we may sustain concerning Your Account. Any remaining funds held in a Rootz Account, blocked due to a chargeback request, shall be treated like funds on an Inactive Account.
7.1 - You may withdraw any amount up to the Real Money balance in your Rootz Member Account by providing Rootz with a valid withdrawal notice on the website. Please note that you may have to allow Bonus Money to expire before withdrawing Real Money.
7.2 - Cancellations must be made via the website. Rootz will not accept withdrawal requests made by phone or email. Rootz employees should be authorised to circumvent these instructions.
7.3 - The available withdrawal options are clearly stated on the website.
7.4 - Withdrawals will be made to your bank account or other withdrawal methods available under the “Withdrawal” pages and / or as Rootz chooses. Rootz shall pay your withdrawals whenever possible using the same method you used to make your deposits. Withdrawal payments may only be made in the name of and to the registered Account holder. Rootz reserves the right to cancel withdrawals to enforce a closed-loop or force the customer to withdraw to a particular withdrawal method. Upon withdrawing funds, your own bank or another payment provider may add a further handling charge. These charges may vary over time.
7.5 - It will not be possible to withdraw funds marked as “Bonus Money”, as well as funds stuck in an aborted game.
7.6 - Rootz products are consumed instantly as you play. As such, Rootz cannot offer returns of goods, refunds, or cancellation of your service mid-game. When you play a game with Real Money, the money is instantly withdrawn from Your Member account.
7.7 - The Rootz Payments and Fraud Team carries out additional verifications upon EUR 2,000 deposits in a rolling period of 180 days or a single withdrawal/ cumulative withdrawals exceeding the equivalent of EUR 2,000. We also reserve the right to carry out such checks for lower payouts. Such verification may include, but is not limited to, copies of passports, ID cards, utility bills, or copies of credit/debit cards used to make deposits. All identification documents presented must contain a clear photo of the registered customer.
7.8 - All transactions must be verified to prevent money laundering. Rootz, the regulator and any governing body may monitor or require a review of any transaction to avoid the commission of this crime. Rootz reports all suspicious transactions to the relevant authorities. Should we become aware of any suspicious activity related to one of our games, we will immediately notify the relevant institutions. Rootz has the right to suspend or close any account and temporarily freeze any funds if required per applicable anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws and regulations.
7.9 - The time it takes for a withdrawal request to be finally processed may vary due to circumstances. However, a withdrawal request should be approved or denied within three (3) days. If a withdrawal is cancelled, the funds will be returned to your player account, and you may dispose of the funds in your player account. Rootz is not responsible for any funds lost during play following a withdrawal cancellation by you or us. For details on deposit and withdrawal times, see Payment Methods.
7.10 - Before a withdrawal is processed, your behaviour on the websites or use of the games will be checked for irregular gaming patterns. If Rootz believes there is irregular gaming, Rootz reserves the right to withhold any withdrawals or confiscate all winnings and bonuses until further notice.
7.11 - Acceptance of a withdrawal request requires that you have deposited Real Money and, as a rule - except in the case of account closure - subsequently used it to participate in the game at least once and that all other conditions specified by Rootz be respected. All withdrawal requests are subject to the transaction limits and withdrawal methods, which we will inform you of before the withdrawal. Rootz reserves the right to perform enhanced due diligence upon withdrawal if deemed necessary, particularly in cases where deposited funds have not been used for wagering.
7.12 - Under applicable laws and the licensing conditions imposed on Rootz, player funds are protected by segregating customer funds from Rootz assets in the event of bankruptcy. They are held in separate, dedicated bank accounts. Our bank has confirmed that these accounts are used solely to keep player funds. In addition, the bank we choose ensures that these funds are not subject to seizure or enforcement of claims against Rootz and that, in the event of bankruptcy, these funds will not be considered part of Rootz’s assets but rather as belonging to the players, as long as they are listed as credit on the player account. Consequently, in the event of Rootz’s bankruptcy, your funds will be protected and returned to you.
7.13 - A Registering Person accepts and acknowledges that withdrawals of funds will only be transferred to the account from which funds were deposited into the Player’s Account, where possible.
7.14 - If Rootz or a third-party service provider mistakenly credits your bank account or other withdrawal methods for withdrawals that do not belong to you, whether due to technical or human error or any other reason, the amount credited in error remains the property of Rootz. We will remit this amount from your account back to Rootz. Without prejudice to any other remedy and action available to us by law, the amount paid in error constitutes a debt you owe to Rootz. In the event of an incorrect credit, you must inform our customer service immediately by email.
8.1 - These Terms will remain in effect until the user makes a new version available and accepted. Any essential changes to the bonus and rewards terms and conditions will be communicated to you in advance. They will come into effect once you have reconfirmed your acceptance of the changes.
8.2 - We may occasionally offer you Bonuses or rewards, which will be credited to Your Account by us. Such Bonuses can only be used in connection with the terms and conditions stated when the Bonus is offered. Acceptance of certain Bonuses may be per additional or specific terms and conditions made available to you. Standard promotional terms apply to other Bonuses and rewards. Unless otherwise stated, our offers can only be used once. You can only withdraw Bonus funds or redeem rewards if you fulfil the applicable terms and conditions. The type and size of the Bonus may vary, and you must wager the Bonus Money to withdraw the funds. For this reason, you should carefully review the bonus terms and conditions before participating in any campaign.
8.3 - Bonuses (e.g., a welcome bonus or a deposit-dependent bonus) and other gratuities may not be offered to players for whom a long-term player ban (self- or third-party ban) existed in the past 4 weeks but has since been lifted. We, therefore, carry out an OASIS query for all recipients before any scheduled offer to see whether any of them have had a long-term player ban in the past 4 weeks, which has since been lifted. Players who report to us from OASIS that there was a long-term player ban (self-ban or third-party ban) in the past 4 weeks that has since been lifted will not receive any bonus offers or offers for other bonuses.
8.4 - Rootz reserves the right to withhold and remove the allocated bonus funds if you do not meet the wagering requirements within 60 days from the assigned date. Individual campaigns may have a shorter expiry time, of which you will be informed in advance.
8.5 - If you have qualified for a bonus, special requirements apply before requesting a bonus or winnings withdrawal from playing games with Bonus Money. Suppose you wish to request a withdrawal before the wagering requirements are met. In that case, Rootz will deduct the entire bonus amount and any winnings earned with Bonus Money before a withdrawal is approved. Rootz has the right to decide in advance which games and how much a game contributes to the wagering requirements.
8.6 - You can find your current and future Bonus and loyalty points in the Bonus section of the website. All items in the bonus section are considered Bonus rewards and may incur additional wagering. Expiry times are clearly stated in the Bonus description and may vary for each item.
8.7 - During gameplay, Real Money is used first. Real Money bets give Real Money winnings, and mixed bets or only Bonus Money bets give Bonus Money winnings.
8.8 - Only when playing a game with bonus money or a game containing bonus money will the game bet increase by the bonus bet amount.
8.9 - The maximum allowed Bet of Bonus Money is 1 EUR per spin until the wagering requirement is met.
8.10 - Some games affect wagering requirements differently. See Section 7 in the Bonus Terms for the current list of games with exceptions to wagering requirements.
8.11 - Any player found to be abusing Bonus funds on slot games with a progression mechanic is liable to have any winnings confiscated and may have their Account closed.
8.12 - Bonuses/Free Spins at Rootz can only be received once per person, household, IP address (including shared networks), device, credit/debit card number or other deposit method used. We reserve the right to close your account and confiscate in the interim any existing funds if evidence of Bonus abuse/fraud is found.
8.13 - We grant bonuses and access to selected promotions in good faith to players who use our services for entertainment and as a token of appreciation for loyal gaming participation. Free spins, bonuses and participation in other customer loyalty campaigns will be denied or withdrawn from players who abuse the spirit of our offers. The term “abuse” refers to players who gain an unfair or unintended advantage through other means, including but not limited to opening multiple accounts to receive various bonuses. In cases where Rootz suspects that the player is acting in bad faith, Rootz reserves the right to cancel a bonus offer at any time if it suspects that the offer is being abused. The violator’s account, with immediate effect, closes.
8.14 - You acknowledge that you can only receive or use offers that apply to Germany and, where specified, to the payment method. Rootz reserves the right to change the number and amount of Bonuses awarded at any time and for any reason. We reserve the right to offer a particular Bonus to a specific customer or group of customers, to terminate a Bonus offer without notice or compensation, to change the terms of any Bonus offer, or to substitute any type of bonus offer for another, at our sole discretion and at any time.
8.15 - While playing with wagers made using the Bonus funds, the player is strictly prohibited from delaying a game round until the wagering requirements for that bonus have been met, or new funds have been deposited. This also applies to all Bonus or Free spins modes and functions arising from betting with the player’s Bonus balance. In this case, the player agrees that their bonus or associated winnings may be voided.
8.16 - Wagering requirements apply. Deposits must be wagered at least once before they become withdrawable. You can withdraw your deposit balance before you have met the wagering requirements, but then you will lose your Bonus Money. For example, suppose the wagering requirements are thirty-five (35) to withdraw a EUR 5 bonus. In that case, the player must wager EUR 175 before the remaining balance can be converted into Real Money and withdrawn.
8.17 - In the case of Cash Rewards with no wagering requirements, the amount won will be immediately added to the balance and is available to withdraw.
9.1 - Rootz offers a range of services to help you if you feel you are becoming addicted to gambling. We have taken several measures to help you play in a safe environment. You understand that when it comes to playing games of chance involving money, the outcome is always random. We have developed tools to make your gaming experience safer and encourage you to consider these measures when playing on Rootz. To take advantage of these tools, you can either visit our Responsible Gaming page, which will display all relevant information and assistance, or the “Limits” tab in the menu Go to “Your Account” and set the account restrictions according to your needs or contact our customer service at [email protected].
9.2 - As part of German gambling laws, a player can deposit a cumulative amount of EUR 1,000 across all available online gambling operators monthly. Therefore, you cannot deposit more than this amount, regardless of whether you deposited EUR 1,000 on our site or other online gambling sites. When registering on our website, you must set a monthly cross-vendor deposit limit or indicate that you wish to keep an individual monthly cross-vendor deposit limit that you have already set.
To monitor compliance with the monthly cross-provider deposit limit, the supervisory authority responsible for this maintains the joint gaming authority of the states (GGL) in Halle an der Saale – a central limit file. Rootz is legally obliged to transmit your first and last name, maiden name, address, the amount of the deposit limit across providers, the date the limit was set and the amount and date of the deposits made to this central limit file for their release. Before each deposit, we transfer the amount you specified to the limit file to check whether it is still available, your monthly deposit limit has already been exhausted, or which lower amount you may still have available. In principle, Rootz may not allow you to make any deposits that, according to the limit file, already exceed the monthly cross-provider deposit limit.
We offer you the ability to set stricter financial limits for your Rootz account. Suppose you set a stricter limit on our website. In that case, you cannot play beyond the limit you set, as our system will automatically ban any further play. These limits are designed to help you control your gambling and allow you to set financial limits on deposits, wagers and losses:
9.3 - The financial limits described above can be viewed and changed anytime in the “Limits” tab in the “Your Account” menu. The limits can be changed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Any request to lower a limit will take effect immediately. A request to increase or remove a limit will only take effect after a cooling-off period of seven (7) days, during which the player cannot reverse the conditions previously set for his account. This reflection period allows you to reconsider whether you want to increase your deposit limit. The monthly multi-vendor limit of EUR 1,000 cannot be removed or increased.
9.4 - If you need more information or help with our features, please contact customer service at [email protected].
9.5 - We offer you the option to set session time limits for your Rootz account. You may set a maximum session time to remain logged into your account at your sole discretion. As long as these limits are set, if you reach the preset time limit in a game session, you will be automatically logged out and unable to continue playing.
9.6 - The Reality Check feature helps you monitor your gaming activity on Rootz. This feature will be activated automatically, displaying a message at regular 60-minute intervals. This message will let you know how long you’ve been playing and how much you’ve spent/won. It provides a direct link to your transaction history. It allows you to continue the game after five (5) minutes or to terminate it immediately.
To prevent parallel gaming, the 2021 State Treaty on Gambling provides a central activity file to which all online gaming providers must connect. Before allowing you to participate in the game, Rootz must supply your full name, date of birth, place of birth and address to the activity file to query whether you are already active with another online gambling provider. Suppose there is no feedback about the activity at another online gambling provider. You will be entered in the central activity file as active at Rootz. Suppose you end your game participation with us. In that case, we report this to the central activity file stating the abovementioned data. We must also report the deletion of a player’s account to activity files.
9.7 - We offer the option to request a self-ban. To protect players and combat gambling addiction, the Darmstadt Regional Council operates a central blocking system (“OASIS”) that covers all providers and types of gaming for all federal states. Banned players are not allowed to take part in public games of chance. Therefore, every application for a player ban must be entered into the central, provider- and game-form-spanning ban file OASIS. As soon as Rootz has processed your application for a self-ban and entered it in OASIS, you cannot play on an online gambling site operated by Rootz Limited, with other licensed online gambling providers connected to the ban file, nor with stationary betting shops, nor with stationary bookmakers, still play at stationary arcades, still play at stationary casinos until the requested period of blocking has elapsed, you have requested that your exclusion be lifted, and the Darmstadt regional council has deleted your player blocking in OASIS upon your request (in the case of long-term bans). A self-exclusion has two options: a short-term (24-hour) break from the game after using the panic button or a long-term self-ban.
“Panic Button”: A button appears whenever and wherever game participation is possible and triggers an immediate 24-hour self-lockout when activated. This time-out function can be used for shorter breaks in the game and is automatically cancelled after 24 hours. But Rootz is also obliged to enter this 24-hour break in gaming after utilising the panic button in OASIS, which is why this not only results in an exclusion from Rootz but also from all other licensed online gambling providers connected to the blocking file from stationary betting shops, at stationary bookmakers, at stationary arcades and stationary casinos. In contrast to a long-term self-ban, no application is required to delete the 24-hour game break after using the panic button from OASIS. However, this occurs automatically after the 24 hours have expired since the panic button was used.
If you need a long-term break from gambling, please use the self-exclusion function on the websites and select the period for which you want to be excluded. You can find this function in the menu “My Account” -> “Limits”. The minimum duration of a self-ban is three (3) months, and any request for a ban of less than three (3) months will be considered a request for a self-ban for at least three (3) months. If no specific exclusion period is specified, the blocking period is at least one (1) year. After entering the long-term self-ban, you will not be able to play on an online gambling site operated by Rootz Limited, with other licensed online gambling providers connected to the ban file, with stationary betting shops, with stationary bookmakers, nor with stationary arcades participating in public games of chance at stationary casinos.
Rootz is also obliged to enter third-party bans in OASIS and thereby enforce a player exclusion, even against the will of the affected game participant, if Rootz knows based on the perception of its staff or based on reports from third parties or has to assume based on other actual evidence that a player/s is at risk of gambling addiction or is over-indebted, does not meet his/her financial obligations or risks gambling stakes that are disproportionate to his/her income or assets. Before such a third-party ban is entered, the affected player must be allowed to comment. Rootz will provide you with a specific deadline for this. If you do not comment on the planned external ban within the set deadline, Rootz will enter it. Otherwise, Rootz will evaluate your presentation at its discretion and decide whether to register the third-party ban. If a third-party block is entered, we will inform you immediately. The external ban is always at least one year. After registration, you cannot play on an online gambling site operated by Rootz Limited, nor at other licensed online gambling providers connected to the blocking file, stationary betting shops, stationary bookmakers, stationary arcades, land-based casinos, or participate in public games of chance.
Long-term self-bans and third-party bans do not expire automatically, even if you have only applied for a self-ban for a certain period - which can be at least three months. Long-term player bans can only be lifted based on a corresponding written request from the banned person. The application for lifting the ban can be made at the earliest after the expiry of the requested minimum ban period or, if no shorter minimum ban period has been requested and in the case of a third-party ban, at the earliest after the expiry of one year. You can send the deletion request to us or the Darmstadt Regional Council. If you submit the deletion request to us, we will immediately forward it to the Darmstadt regional council. The latter then decides on the deletion request at its discretion and, if necessary, arranges for the block to be lifted by making a corresponding entry in the block file. Suppose a third-party exclusion was based on notification from third parties. In that case, they will be informed about the deletion request and the possibility of requesting a new third-party block. Suppose you submit the deletion request directly to the Darmstadt regional council. In that case, the latter will also inform Rootz if Rootz has entered the third-party block. The lifting of the ban will take effect after it has been registered, but in the case of a self-ban not before the expiry of one (1) week and in the case of a third-party ban not before the expiry of one (1) month after receipt of the application by the Darmstadt regional council. The applicant must be informed about the lifting of the ban.
9.8 - Once your member account has been re-opened as described in this clause, you will be responsible for any losses resulting from continued use of your Member Account. Under no circumstances will you receive a refund from Rootz. Any consent given before your block to receive advertising material and the corresponding comparison in the central block file is considered revoked after a self-block or a third-party block is lifted and must be provided again.
9.9 - For your protection and per our licensing obligations, if you had an account with us that was closed due to gambling addiction (either at the player’s request or by our analysts), you could not reopen the account. If a new account is closed again, for this reason, all winnings will be removed. We also reserve the right to take action and inform the relevant authorities and associations.
9.10 - If you feel at risk of developing a gambling addiction or want to be sure that you or other people in your household cannot access gambling sites, you can install software to prevent access to gambling sites. There are independent third-party websites that offer gambling-related websites or software-blocking products. Betfilter and GamBlock are two of the websites that offer this service. Please follow the Responsible Gaming page links if you require further information. To ensure the greatest possible protection for those affected by gambling problems, this type of software cannot be removed from a device once installed.
9.11 - If Rootz believes your gambling is causing financial or personal difficulties, we reserve the right to close your account. Please see our Responsible Gaming page if you need help breaking your addiction.
9.12 - Rootz does not allow anyone under 18 to create an account on their website. If you are under 18 attempting to open an account with us or assisting a minor to open an account with us, you are breaking the law. If you have minors in your household or if there is a possibility that minors are accessing your computer, please make sure that you do not pass on your login details and that you do not enable the “remember my password” feature on the login screens; that you will not provide your credit card or bank account information to minors; that you install parental control software or internet filtering software on your computer. Such software can be obtained from, for example, Netnanny and Cyberpatrol.
9.13 - It is not permitted to simultaneously participate in multiple games of chance or gambling sites.

11.2 - For more information about the use of cookies, please refer to the Cookie Policy.
12.1 - Unexpected technical problems or circumstances beyond Rootz’s control, such as B. Technical issues at third-party providers allow Rootz to cancel games and refund players. In addition, you acknowledge that your computer equipment or mobile device and internet connection may affect the performance and operation of the Website. For this reason, Rootz cannot guarantee that the websites will be error-free or that its services will be provided without interruption. Rootz assumes no liability for any outages or problems caused by your equipment, internet connection or third-party providers. This also applies to the inability to play games or to view or receive information about certain games.
12.2 - Rootz reserves the right to limit, cancel and refuse invalid games, abuse the system and violate these Terms.
12.3 - 12.3 - If a refund is decided upon, the amount of the refund shall be returned to the player’s Account, the player shall be informed, and the procedure will be finalised within 48 hours after the decision.
12.4 - Should a game round “get stuck” before exiting, e.g. due to a loss of connection during an active session, Rootz has the right to periodically “clean up” such wagers or games and return the wager to the player’s account. The player should be refunded if the game crashes or fails on the server.
12.5 - If a Bonus campaign has been misconfigured in any way, Rootz has the right to change the player’s balance and account details to correct the error.
12.6 - If a game contains an error or misconfiguration that causes incorrect behaviour or incorrect payout, Rootz has the right to remove the game and change players’ balance details to correct the error.
12.7 - The Company shall not be liable for any downtime, server disruptions, delays or technical or political disruptions to game operations unless caused by intent or gross negligence. Refunds may only be given at the discretion of the management.
12.8 - The Company shall not be liable for any damage or loss arising out of or in connection with the Websites or its content, including but not limited to any delay or interruption in operation or transmission, loss or damage of data, communication or line failure, any person’s misuse of the Websites or its content, or errors or omissions in the content, unless caused by Rootz’s wilful intent or gross negligence.
12.9 - Rootz will ensure that the Websites are available twenty-four (24) hours daily. However, it shall not be held liable if, for any reason, the Websites are unavailable at any time or for any period. We may remove any Games from the Websites at any time. We reserve the right to make any changes or additions, change, suspend or discontinue any content, product or service, including your access to the Website.
12.10 - You cannot exploit errors or incompleteness in our website, application, software or services. Suppose you become aware of any such error or incompleteness. In that case, you must refrain from taking advantage of it and notify us immediately. Suppose you comply with this clause and refrain from exploiting or disclosing information about an error or incompleteness. In that case, Rootz will be entitled to all remedies provided by law, including reimbursement of costs incurred by Rootz in connection with losses resulting from your breach of this clause.
The preceding restrictions on intent and gross negligence do not apply in the event of injury to life, body and health or a breach of cardinal obligations. In the event of a slightly negligent violation of cardinal obligations - i.e. essential contractual obligations whose fulfilment is necessary to achieve the purpose of the contract, which is why you can regularly rely on their proper fulfilment - Rootz is only liable for typical and foreseeable damage.
13.1 - At our sole discretion, we may add, remove, change, or supplement any products offered through the Websites at any time. This is mainly due to the new approval of games or the revocation of licences for individual virtual slot machine games by the GGL.
14.1 - You may contact our Customer Complaints Department by emailing [email protected] should you wish to complain about our Services.
14.2 - Complaints will be handled by Customer Service and escalated within the Rootz organisation if staff cannot resolve the matter immediately. The player will be given reasonable notice of the status of the complaint. We always aim to resolve complaints in the shortest possible time. The result of the complaint must be communicated within ten days of receipt, although this period can be extended by a further ten days in certain cases.
14.3 - Rootz hereby expressly declares that the company is not prepared to participate in a consumer dispute resolution procedure (“VSB procedure”) before a consumer arbitration board for the alternative resolution of disputes with customers from Germany.
14.4 - The EU Commission’s online dispute resolution platform (“ODR platform”) is available at available at this link.
Please note that this ODR platform of the EU Commission is not a separate mechanism for alternative dispute resolution but that, in principle, it is purely a communication platform between the parties and the consumer dispute resolution body they chose. According to Article 5 (4) of Regulation (EU) No. 524/2013 on online dispute resolution in consumer matters, the ODR platform has the following functions:
(a) providing an electronic complaint form to be completed by the complainant per Article 8;
b) informing the respondent about the complaint;
c) identifying the relevant ODR body or bodies and submitting the complaint to the consumer dispute resolution body agreed upon by the parties;
d) providing an electronic case management tool that allows the parties and the consumer dispute resolution body to carry out the dispute resolution process online via the ODR platform;
e) Providing the parties and the consumer dispute resolution body with translations of the information necessary for dispute resolution and exchanged via the ODR platform;
(f) providing an electronic form through which the consumer dispute resolution bodies transmit the information referred to in Article 10(c);
g) Providing a feedback system through which the parties can comment on the functioning of the ODR platform and the consumer dispute resolution body that handled their dispute;
h) making specified information publicly available.
We are legally obliged to provide you with the above information about the existence and functioning of the ODR platform and the link under which the ODR platform can be accessed. However, this does not change the fact that Rootz Ltd. for the German market is not prepared to take part in a consumer dispute resolution body procedure before a consumer arbitration board for the alternative resolution of disputes with customers from Germany, even if the consumer (i.e. in our case the game participant) uses the ODR platform.
14.5 - If you believe that your complaint is relevant to the status of our licence, particularly if you allege that our conduct is unlawful or not safe, fair or transparent, you can lodge your complaint with the relevant authority - i.e. the GGL, Hansering 15, 06108 Halle (Saale) – submit.
